 Fine Art Reproduction History

Given the recent history of graft and fraudulent duplication in the art industry, limited edition name on the print , signature and advertisments are not enogh and the real factors for a prints that are protected and are a limited edition. However, not all prints are as collectible limited editions and we would strongly advise that you consider about exclusivity of printing process, artist, publisher and producer. Purchase a print quite simply because you like it, it doesn't means you need to pay large amount for the print that is not a true Limited Edition.

Important factors for creating a true Original limited edition of art for the new millennium:
1- Print not should be easy to reproduce, duplicate in same media by any copy center.
2- Printing technique need to be unique and art by itself.
3- Printing method should be protected only for creating art editions.
4- Material to print should be limited and exclusive.
5-Limit numbers of productions, and not be able to reproduce again the media.
6- Legally Protected Process, not only by a numbers and artist signatures on prints.
7- Digitally safe coded for future protection of duplicate and fraud.
8- Artist Signature and certificate signed by artist and printer.

CRA Productions has accepted the challenge of developing and research many years for creating a true protected Limited Edition of art utilizing latest advancement technology, waiting to create a uniqueness media as stone lithography in 19 century, effort to stay in best form in the market by offering unique processes for top level of art market place.
Recently after the successfully development of Repligraphy® Process on canvas from the 1990 and Digitography™1997, recently developed a new form of art reproduction, the Subligraph™, a process that combining with available digital archival printing technology and many of the features of our award winning canvas sublimation process, Digitograph™ workstation to produce an Digital Original Art Edition on heavy textures cotton canvas from a original digital file captured by a large format digital camera directly from the original painting.
The Subligraph™ process is a complementary process for creating an image on canvas following the productions of Linograph™, Repligraph®, Digitograph™ canvas prints by CRA Productions.

The Subligraph™ Limited Editions are extremely durable, more durable than an original painting. They are unaffected by atmospheric conditions.

The Subligraph™ Limited Editions are representations of today's art and technologies and bring our cultural heritage to generations in the future.

The Subligraph™ Limited Editions lends itself well to alteration by the artist and for signing and numbering of the edition.

The Subligraph™ Limited Editions, not to be able to duplicate through other competitions with any professional printer in the world.

Gicleés, or any other direct ink jet prints, produced from any digital plotters (Color Span, Epson, Iris and Roland among others), cannot create true limited editions of art in and of themselves. Without specific treatment processes by artists or printmakers.
There is no place in future for Gicleé (ink Jet print) better than photograph and lithograph in original art limited edition market.
