What makes a good brownie

These are not the cakey kind, they're soft kind. Super rich and moist. So, to try this, we should have:

  • 200g butter
  • 200 g dark chocolate chips
  • 175g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 75g flour
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 180g dark chocolate block (optional)

This recipe is the simplest I've come across for making brownies. The result is a smooth, spreadable, and absolutely delicious treat.

How to make a delicous homemade brownie ?

Start by melting butter in a spacious saucepan and removing it from the heat. In a medium bowl, mix together sugar, flour, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and salt. In a larger bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.

Gently add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and fold until fully incorporated. The batter will be thick!

Then, pour the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Use a rubber spatula to spread it to all four sides of the pan and to smooth the top.
Bake in the preheated oven until the top is set and the edges begin to pull away from the pan, about 25 to 30 minutes. Allow to cool slightly before applying the frosting.

To prepare the frosting: In a bowl, mix together softened butter, powdered sugar, tablespoons of cocoa, honey, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until smooth. Spread the frosting over the brownies while they are still warm.

Best Brownie Recipe Tips

For the best brownies, high-quality chocolate chips are key—choose ones with at least 60% cacao. One of the biggest tips for perfect brownies is not overbaking them. It’s always safer to take them out a bit early than risk them becoming dry. Bake until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs, not completely clean.

If you're unsure, it’s best to remove them from the oven; they’ll continue to set as they cool! Allow them to cool before indulging. It’s tempting to dive in right away, but waiting makes them even gooier and fudgier, while helping them hold together better when you cut them.
