Here’s ingredients at what you’ll need : 

  • Ground beef and Italian sausage
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes , 2 cans canned tomato sauce and tomato paste
  • ½ cup minced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Chopped fresh parsley, basilic and italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Mozzarella cheese, sliced , ricotta and parmesan cheese

This recipe is the simplest I've come across for making lasagna. The result is a smooth, spreadable, and absolutely delicious treat

How to Make Lasagna Step-By-Step


Brown the sausage, ground beef, onion, and garlic in a pot oven over medium heat until fully cooked.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water. Season with sugar, tablespoons of parsley, basil, teaspoon of salt, Italian seasoning, and pepper. 

Cover and simmer for about 1 ½ hours, stirring occasionally.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook lasagna noodles in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain noodles, and rinse with cold water.

If you are using regular lasagna noodles, while it simmers cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
Shred the mozzarella cheese . In a mixing bowl, Stir together the ricotta, egg, parsley, and salt.

To assemble, spread meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Lay 6 noodles lengthwise over the sauce, slightly overlapping. Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture on top, then add the mozzarella cheese slices. Spoon meat sauce over the mozzarella, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese.

Repeat the layers, then top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan. Cover with foil, making sure the foil doesn’t touch the cheese; for best results, spray the foil with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minute and rest lasagna for 15 minutes before serving.
