How to Make Crustless Quiche?

Then add a large spoonful of the egg mixture. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes . Don’t forget to keep an eye on the quiche as it bakes. You don’t want the crust getting too brown on top as the eggs cook!

If necessary, cover the outside ring of the crust with a bit of foil to prevent it from browning further.

Frittata vs Quiche: What’s the Difference

Origin: Frittata is a traditional Italian dish, whereas quiche originates from France.
Crust: Quiche typically has a crust, while frittata does not. However, some quiches are made without a crust.

Base Ingredients: Both dishes are made with eggs, but quiche uses an egg custard that includes cream or milk. Frittatas, on the other hand, are sometimes made using only egg whites.

Pan: Quiches are baked in a pie dish or tart pan, while frittatas are cooked in a skillet.
Texture: Frittatas have a firm outer layer and a tender, fluffy interior, while quiches feature a creamy, custard-like center and a buttery, flaky crust.

Timing: Quiche tends to be more labor-intensive, especially if preparing a homemade crust, while frittatas require less cooking time, making them a quicker and easier choice for breakfast or brunch.

Storage Recommendations:

Refrigeration: Store quiche in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheating: Reheat leftovers in a pie dish at 350°F in the oven, or heat gently in the microwave .
Freezing: Crustless quiche can be frozen. Wrap it securely in plastic wrap and place it in an airtight, freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before reheating.
